My love of reptiles dates back to 1990. No matter what the species, whether it’s the first of it’s kind or the 100th. I am still as excited when a hatchling comes out to breathe it’s first breath of air, as when I was blessed to see the first one. For us to be able see children’s faces ( and adults that turn into children ) with intrigue and happiness when they get to bring there family member home, gives us the pleasure of knowing that all the hard work involved is ALL worth it. Over the many years we have had many different species of reptiles, some bought and some were taken in as rescues. All have had a place in our family. My family consists of my loving wife Amanda, my three children Robert, Melissa, Megan and myself (Bob). We now are in the process of taking this “hobby” to the next level. We currently are breeding many different snakes and geckos. All of our reptile hatchlings that are for sale are ONLY from our own family pets and have gone through an extensive period of time to make sure the animal is healthy and eating well. One of the goals we have is to NOT produce animals with the idea of making a lot of money. We are only selling them to be able to keep going and to be able to recuperate some of the costs involved. We do have a high standard to the people we will sell to to. (for instance... I will not sell a python to someone that has never owned a snake before). The horror stories that have been popping on the news lately from inexperienced persons is astounding. We believe that buying captive breed reptiles from breeders are free from parasites and does not impact the wild by importing species. I am not against regulated imports because I would not have what I have today, but with the availability on the market today it is easier to purchase captive breed animals. We are happy to be able to share our enthusiasm with the rest of you!!! ( That is the ones that are not afraid of them ). I would be happy to help or answer any questions that you would have about the husbandry of any reptiles. Please feel free to e-mail ANY questions at bob@genesisreptiles.com . If there are any doubts on getting any animal please do not get it until you are sure. I can hold any animal for a certain period of time until you are 100% sure. Once again our goal is not to sell animals to get rich but to be able to transfer animals to others so they can appreciate them as much as we do. If we talk you out of a sale because of the doubt for you to be able to properly take care for that animal.... so be it. Animals come first! The GENESIS REPTILES name is actually derived from a book in the bible. Specifically, Genesis 3 : 24 (MSG). We hope you enjoy our site and thanks for viewing. |
